Greg S. Shaw, Ph.D., is the Founder and Principal of Innovation and Risk. He has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of innovation, including R&D, engineering, product management, commercial development, and sales.

He has successfully launched product, service, and business model innovations in numerous markets and has witnessed spectacular failures when the risks of action—or, more frequently, inaction—are not properly assessed.

Dr. Shaw has introduced tools and processes to numerous organizations at various levels of innovation maturity. Success has been achieved when innovation and risk are treated as business processes and the right innovation toolset is applied to the opportunity at hand.

Dr. Shaw holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. He also holds certificates in Experimental Design and Response Surface Methodology from Virginia Tech and Creating and Executing Breakthrough Strategy from Columbia Business School.
